Enlightened Productions was founded by Marcus Grant in 2009 with assistance from Jesse Stevens. The group originally existed as a Young Marching Arts Composers organization, using the then-cutting-edge technology of social media to give talented young composers around the world the opportunity to network and collaborate with one another, honing their marching arts skills together to become more prepared for the market of marching arts design.

The group has since retained its spirit of community and collaboration for young musicians and expanded to music of all genres. Starting with seven, the group now consists of nearly thirty talented musicians from around the world. Of the seven founding members, three still play active roles in the organization today.

Now an organization of composers, performers, and teachers, Enlightened Productions members have won national and international competitions and accolades, been featured prominently in various seminars, conferences, and honor ensembles across the United States, served as charter members and co-founders of drum corps, indoor marching ensembles, and chamber groups, and secured teaching and arranging jobs for top quality colleges and professional musical organizations both in and out of the marching arts.
