Percussionist Spencer Lusignan is a composer, arranger, and future music educator whom is a native of Belchertown, Massachusetts. In high school, he developed his passion and everlasting interest for music learning under Mrs. Lyndsay Boysen until the end of his junior year, and later Dr. Brian Messier for his senior year. During those four years at Belchertown High School, he was a member of numerous ensembles, including the consecutive MICCA Gold Medal winning Wind Ensemble, which was featured at Boston Symphony Hall each year. In his freshman year, he marched with his school's marching band in Disney's Electric Night Parade in Orlando. During his sophomore year, Spencer participated in extracurricular ensembles including the QVMEA Concert Band and the MMEA Western District Concert Band, where he placed as premiere snare. At the start of his junior year, Spencer decided to apply for the Tri-M Music Honor Society to further his involvement with the music department and community. Shortly thereafter, the school's percussion ensemble he played in was invited to exhibit at the MMEA All-State Conference in Boston, MA in March of 2014. At the end of his junior year, he received the Patrick S. Gilmore award for outstanding contributions towards the department. One year later with his passion for music, he decided to pursue a career in music education. Following his college auditions, he enrolled in the UMass Honor Band, where he placed into the top ensemble during his senior year.

Personally noted as his “peak throughout his high school career”, Spencer was appointed percussion section leader for his junior and senior year. During his final two years at Belchertown High School, he had composed, edited, and re-wrote drumline music for the school's notably large percussion section. Spencer had arranged Chick Correa's “Spain” for the Percussion II ensemble his junior year, and later arranged Carlos Santana's “Oye Como Va” for the same ensemble his senior year. Closing out his high school career, he later arranged Dropkick Murphy's “Shipping Up To Boston” for the Marching Orioles, and “Big Noise from Winnetka” for a percussion feature with a twenty-player wind chamber; both for their 2014 Holyoke St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Spencer Lusignan is currently attending Bridgewater State University, in Bridgewater, MA to obtain his degree in music education.
