Shawn Wright is a composer, arranger, music educator, and multi-instrumentalist residing in Mobile, Alabama where he currently serves as the arranger for the South Alabama Jaguar Marching band, as well as an instructor, arranger, and technician for several local and regional high school bands. He is a senior studying music education and performance under Dr. Peter Wood and Dr. Robert Holm at the University of South Alabama where he plays Trumpet, Piano, French Horn, and a number of other instruments in many of the University's ensembles. Shawn began composing in middle school, writing short pieces for trumpet, and quickly moved to arranging for marching band in high school. In addition to his tenure as an arranger, he has varied compositional experience, writing original pieces for marching and concert band, orchestra, chamber ensembles, and a number of solo works.
