Nicoletta Moss is a composer, performer, and music teacher from Richmond, Virginia. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Education degree from James Madison University, and studies viola under Amadi Azikiwe. Her passion for music began at the age of eight, when she discovered the violin and piano, and she has continued learning various other string, wind, and percussion instruments throughout the years. Nicoletta has performed with the JMU Symphony Orchestra, JMU Chamber Orchestra, Marching Royal Dukes, and other ensembles within her school and community. Over the past decade, she has been involved directly with the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra and has mentored many young string students in the Greater Richmond area. She enjoys sharing her love for music by educating and helping students of all ages and abilities learn and appreciate music, especially assisting in programs for children with disabilities and special needs. In her free time, she composes music for various ensembles; specifically, full orchestras, concert bands, and smaller string ensembles. Her compositions and arrangements have been performed by elementary, middle, and high schools around Virginia and have received recognition by numerous organizations around the area. She aspires to write compositions for sheet music publishers to help young musicians grow and develop their musicality.
